About AMSUL
The Association of Medical Students University of Lagos (AMSUL), established in 1966, stands as a student body comprising over 700 undergraduates pursuing Medicine and Surgery at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. It holds the distinction of being the largest departmental association within the College of Medicine at the University of Lagos/Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
Throughout its existence spanning over 50 years, AMSUL has built a commendable reputation for orchestrating regular educational, social, sporting, and other student welfare-oriented programs. These initiatives aim to better equip members to confront the challenges of medical school and prepare them for broader societal responsibilities.
In addition to these, AMSUL organizes seminars, symposia, and training workshops, providing members with an extra edge beyond the classroom setting.
AMSUL's commitment extends beyond its members to the immediate and extended community. The association actively engages in volunteer medical services, community support programs, and services for the less privileged and those with limited access to healthcare within the society. This multifaceted approach underscores AMSUL's dedication to both the professional and social development of its members and its broader impact on the community.
